Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some of the things clients ask most frequently.
-
We work on both residential and commercial projects, including custom homes, renovations, office spaces, retail environments, hospitality projects, and furnishing-focused engagements. Every project is approached with the same thoughtful process and attention to detail, regardless of size or scope.
-
While we always work hard to keep projects moving smoothly and on schedule, timelines can occasionally shift due to factors outside our control. Product backorders, custom manufacturing lead times, shipping delays, contractor schedules, permitting requirements, and construction timelines can all affect project timing.
If delays occur, we communicate proactively, provide updates throughout the process, and work closely with vendors and partners to adjust timelines when needed. Transparency is a key part of our process.
-
Absolutely. Design is a collaborative process, and we understand ideas can evolve as the project progresses.
Changes made during early design phases are typically easy to accommodate. However, revisions after selections are finalized, drawings are approved, or products have been ordered may affect timelines, pricing, or availability.
Before moving forward with any change, we'll clearly communicate any impacts so you can make informed decisions.
-
Each project is unique, so pricing is customized based on scope, complexity, and project requirements.
Depending on your project, fees may include:
Design and planning services
Hourly consultation time
Procurement and sourcing services
Project management
Installation coordination
Vendor and contractor coordination
Product purchasing
All fees and project expectations are outlined clearly in your proposal before work begins.
-
Yes. We use a blended pricing model that allows clients to benefit from portions of our trade discounts while also accounting for the expertise, sourcing, coordination, and management involved in delivering a successful project.
We believe in transparency and creating value throughout the design experience.
-
We manage vendor communication, claims, replacements, and issue resolution on your behalf.
Should an item arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect, our team will coordinate directly with vendors to resolve the issue as efficiently as possible so you don't have to manage those details yourself.
-
Many furnishings and products sourced through design vendors are custom-made, made-to-order, or special-order items. Because of this, returns are often limited or unavailable.
If a product qualifies for returns or exchanges, we'll communicate those details before purchasing so expectations are clear.
-
That depends entirely on your preferences.
Some clients enjoy being involved in every selection and decision, while others prefer a more hands-off experience and trust us to guide the process.
We tailor communication and collaboration to your comfort level while keeping you informed at key milestones.
-
Absolutely. Collaboration is an important part of creating a successful project.
We work closely with contractors, architects, builders, developers, and specialty consultants to ensure all design elements align with the broader vision and are executed thoughtfully.
-
We primarily communicate through email, supplemented by scheduled calls, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings when needed.
Throughout your project, we provide updates during key milestones and important decision points so you always know where things stand.
Clear communication and organization are central to our process.
-
We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests.
Meetings canceled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a charge equal to 50% of our hourly meeting rate.
We appreciate your understanding and respect for the time reserved specifically for your project.
-
Yes. Depending on project scope and location, we may be available for virtual design services, travel-based projects, and select out-of-state engagements.
Please include your location in your inquiry so we can discuss options and determine the best fit.
-
Project budgets vary depending on scope, furnishings, construction needs, and customization.
During our discovery process, we'll discuss investment expectations openly so we can develop a design plan aligned with your goals and priorities.
Our objective is to create a thoughtful design solution that feels both beautiful and realistic for your project.
